Taking a blogging break

Hi Everyone

I decided that in light of everything going on, I am going to reduce my blog postings.  Ideally, I would like to daily blog, but things have gotten a little hectic, so for now I’m putting the brakes on.  I can’t wait to be back and in full blogging action!

Del Monte Square

Del Monte Square is a big tourist attraction in San Francisco.IMG_0427 There are many restaurants, shops and bars that dot the entire area.  In the middle of the square there is free, live music nearly every afternoon – perfect for bringing a few friends & grabbing a few drinks at the outdoor bar.IMG_0430 IMG_0433 IMG_0431

Allyne Park

Tucked near the corner of Green & Gough streets is a quaint park that is filled with beautiful scents and aroma of the Cow Hollow neighborhood.IMG_0407

This park is opposite the Golden Gate Valley Branch of the SF Public Library – the perfect place to grab a book and lie in sun at Allyne Park.

Union Square Art

IMG_0404 Nearly everyday at Union Square, artists display their wonderful art pieces for sale in the middle of the center park.  This is a great open area for meeting the local artists.  There are many coffee shops & eateries nearby to grab a bite to eat or something to drink.

Quote of the day:

“Every noble work is bound to face problems and obstacles. It is important to check your goal and motivation thoroughly. One should be very truthful, honest, and reasonable. One's actions should be good for others, and for oneself as well. Once a positive goal is chosen, you should decide to pursue it all the way to the end. Even if it is not realized, at least there will be no regret.” ~Dalai Lama

Transamerica Redwood Park

Tucked near the Transamerica Building in the Financial District, the Transamerica Redwood Park offers a little getaway from the hustle & bustle of the busy streets.IMG_0386

The tall redwoods embrace a small park, with quite a few benches & sitting areas to take your lunch or cafe beverage. IMG_0400 There is a sense of peace in this small park – it’s definitely worth stopping by!

So Cal: Installment Three

On our third day in Ventura Beach, we rented bicycles from the hotel. This was one of my favorite days. There is a bike path that stretches for miles and it’s filled with people jogging and biking.

We biked all the way past Ventura pier and had a wonderful time! Unfortunately, my new computer isn’t allowing uploads of my I Phone photos, so I had to borrow a photo from another site.

Enjoy!pier

So Cal: Installment Two

Our first morning after spending our first night in Ventura Beach, we went to Busy Bee Cafe for a hearty breakfast.  For under six dollars each, we got a complete breakfast, and even an apple on the side!

As a side note, my new laptop just arrived!! I am very excited to have it (thanks Mom!) and I think it’ll make my blogging a lot easier!
